Chicken Appetizers

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

This recipe is a quick version where we can have this appetizer ready in 40 minutes. No matter how we make these wings, the main ingredients are salt, chili flakes/chili powder, black pepper, parmesan cheese, butter, and garlic.

Why make these when you can order?

These are perfect for parties and a must for game day. Chicken wings are so cheap to buy when compared to other types of chicken. So when making in large quantities, it makes more sense to buy chicken wings in bulk and make it at home. Why not try when it is as tasty and more healthy when compared to Domino’s wings.

There are two main steps in making the chicken wings

  1. Adding spices and herbs and baking the chicken
  2. Preparing the sauce and mixing it with the chicken pieces.

The sauce of this recipe is so simple, light, and easy to make. Garlic buttery flavor mixed with parmesan cheese is a delight. I assure you that kids will enjoy these wings as much as adults. I go easy on chili flakes when making it for the kids.

What sauce is this better served?
My favorite one is blue cheese. But it also goes well with BBQ sauce, Mustard Sauce, Mayo, Buffalo sauce, Ranch, etc. Since this is a neutral flavor chicken wings recipe, you name any sauce, and it can go well with that.

Garlic parmesan chicken wings are a frequently ordered appetizer from Domino’s. I was a regular take-out girl of this famous appetizer from Domino’s. One day I just decided to try my version to make it healthier with less oil and less cheese. I haven’t ordered it since then. I fell in love with this recipe, and I have made this so many times. It is easy to make and saves more time if you have an air fryer at home. The recipe remains the same whether you are using an air fryer or an oven. Just the baking time and setting varies.

Why skinless in this recipe?

It is a personal preference. If you like the skin on, please pat the chicken pieces dry and use them with the skin.

I prefer to take out as much fat as I can when I cook. This dish was no exception. If you are like me and prefer without skin, take off the excess fat and the skin with the scissors and pat dry before using.

8. Microwave the garlic parmesan sauce for about a minute.

9. Add baked chicken wings to the garlic parmesan sauce and mix to coat the chicken wings with the sauce.

10. Garnish with 2 Tbsp of parsley on the top.

11. Serve with blue cheese dressing.

Notes

Chicken wings can either be baked or air fried. I have made these at 400 F for 35 minutes. Check the settings as they may vary for each oven.

Parmesan powder can be used instead of grated parmesan cheese.

If you are looking into making this healthier, It is okay to reduce the quantity of butter and parmesan cheese.

If making these in large quantities, reheat in the oven at 200 F for 10 minutes before serving.
